The Economic Times: Reliance Communications is seriously pursuing its GSM plans. Predominantly a CDMA-based service provider, Reliance has applied to the government for GSM spectrum in 21 of the 23 telecom circles of the country, under the unified access service licence (UASL). But the government is believed to have asked the company to submit detailed business plans, and also to vacate part of its CDMA spectrum – as a condition to process its application.
