News Agency UNI Gets Investment From Essel Group The struggling Indian wire agency United News of India has got an investment from the Subhash Chandra-promoted Essel Group. UNI, which has lagged behind its big brother Press Trust of India, really needed this support. Essel, which also co-owns DNA newspaper along with the Dainik Bhaskar group, would join nine other big media organisations as shareholders of the news organisation formed in 1961. The other shareholders include media outfits like HT Media, Times of India group, Ananda Bazar Patrika and The Hindu.
