The Warner Brothers Television Group is establishing a new digital product venture, Studio 2.0, which will “create original live-action and animated short-form programming for broadband and wireless devices“. From the press release it seems this is mainly an advertising venture, and indeed the head of the new studio will be “multi-award-winning producer and senior advertising executive Rich Rosenthal”, who will “actively align Studio 2.0 with advertisers seeking early identification and involvement with original programming”. I’ll see what they come out with before I draw any conclusions.
