Jon Meacham has been named the new editor Newsweek magazine…he will have responsibility for all day-to-day editorial operations of Newsweek and Newsweek.com. The changes at Newsweek come right after Time magazine announced changes in its publishing schedule.
Meanwhile, in another significant move, Rob Curley, the director of new media and convergence for the Naples (Florida) Daily News, will also be joining WPNI as VP of product development. He will work on development and deployment of new tools for journalists and viewers. Curley’s a big get for WPNI: In 2001, NAA named Curley its New Media Pioneer of the Year.
