The Economic Times: UTV Software Communications is planning acquisitions in gaming and online content businesses (what does it mean? a website?) over the next twelve months, Chief Operating Officer Ronald D’mello- said. The company does not- have a major presence in this area. “We’re late into entering it so we may look at M&As (mergers and acquisitions) in this space.” They are also looking at making acquisitions in the animation sector. It claims to have an order book worth $20 million to be executed in the next 18 months. They are also looking at an equal joint venture in the television broadcasting business and is in talks with foreign companies with a base in India. The company recently sold Hungama channel to Walt Disney for $30.5 million.
