One step forward, two step backwards, that’s the Tivo story. It announced a deal with Omnicom Group, the world’s largest advertising services company, under which Omnicom will purchase audience measurement research from TiVo….concurrently, Omnicom and its clients will buy ad time on Tivo service. The agreement is believed similar to a multimillion-dollar pact Tivo signed in May with Interpublic.
