Jupiter Research has issued a report on marketing to popular teen girls, who are very influential on their peers. The Reuters story is a video…some quotes:
“The average girl says they spend two hours a week on their cellphones, the cool girsl spend five hours a week,” according to Jupiter. The girls spend a lot of time sending SMS and using social networking sites, which expands their sphere of influence “impersonally”, so they can interact with people they normally wouldn’t. Interestingly, the cool girls not only advise their friends and peers on what to buy but also their parents.
My point in bringing this up is that mobiles are clearly very important to these people…
