GPS is getting hot, hot, hot and everyone seems to be locating a need for it. Acer figures you want more than just GPS in a handheld unit, so they integrated digital audio playback and a 2.8-inch QVGA touchscreen into the e310. With the included SD/MMC slot, you can bring along your favorite tunes or digital pics; yup, everyone wants to view pictures on their GPS right? I guess if the GPS fails you can carry along pictures of your neighborhood to show passer-bys and ask for directions. “Excuse me, have you seen this place?”
If you want to test your German, the detailed specs are on the IFA site as that’s where Acer intro’d the new multifunction, Windows CE device.
