MTV’s New Attitude

As MTV hits 25 it has to adjust to the digital world, no longer the upstart challenger but the entrenched challenged. A lot of that is mobile, from its partnership with Virgin Mobile to creating original programming for mobile phones in the form of short animations and video.
However, things are starting to get exciting, and it’s not just new technology…
“All the media companies now are having discussions about things that never would have been fathomed two, three years ago. I think we’re finally moving beyond the phase where everyone was afraid to move because they were afraid of making the wrong move, and instead they’re just trying things to see what happens,” said MTV president Christina Norman.
