About the Business Development Manager Opportunity:
As Business Development Manager you will identify, evaluate, and negotiate business opportunities to maximize revenue, retention and attraction of users of InfoSpace’s Internet Search and Directory Products. You will work closely with Partner Management, Product Management, Legal, Finance, and Engineering to drive the creation, Implementation and enhancement of business partnerships that drive significant revenue.
Responsibilities:
— Create and sustain positive relationships with senior business and engineering contacts at existing and potential partners
— Proactively seek new product and revenue opportunities across accounts.
— Define partner criteria and priority framework, with input from Management, Planning, and Product Development.
— Demonstrated “evangelism” ability to influence partner business and technical strategies, at working and executive levels..
— Manage accounts from both a relationship and a revenue perspective.
— Develop business forecasts, contract renewal schedules, and opportunities “road map”.
— Create and negotiate partner contracts, and licenses, in cooperation with sales, legal, finance, and product development teams
— Work closely with cross-functional teams to prioritize and resource partner projects.
Required Skills and Experience:
— Proven track record of creating business opportunities, closing deals, and generating revenue in the search, directory and internet industry.
— Deal negotiation experience, including contract development. Strong sales and negotiation skills are critical to the success of this individual.
— Experience driving revenue through the development on long term relationships with clients.
— Experience directly managing revenue
— Ability to create and deliver high quality presentations and demonstrations, covering business and technical content.
— Professional and diplomatic communication, verbal and written. Experience in partner/customer facing position, strong customer communication skills.
— Ability to travel for business meetings, presentations, and industry events.
— Excellent business and analytical skills, including strong understanding of and affinity for complex technical products.
— Goal oriented
— 5-8 years business development experience.
— Bachelor Degree in related field, Masters preferred.
