Finally, Some Good News From The FCC For XM And Sirius

XM can resume production of three of its top-selling hand-held satellite radios following a favorable ruling by the FCC. The company shut down the production line two weeks ago; the FCC has been investigating complaints since April that the models’ FM transmitters could interfere with other devices. Other models are still on hold but this should be enough to make sure the company has stock to sell for the holidays. Sirius recieved the same favorable ruling for some of its models but, as the WaPo notes, the decision may mean more to XM, which has been taking a beating on the Street.
