a New York City-based provider of mobile content management solutions to the media and entertainment industry, seeks to recruit a Los Angeles-based Vice President of Sales, Entertainment and Media.
Position Summary
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, Vice President of Sales, Entertainment and Media will be responsible for identifying, developing, and managing all sales activities to the media and entertainment industry on the West Coast but specifically to capitalize on opportunities in Los Angeles.
Responsibilities
— Working with the CEO and Executive Team to define sales strategies for targeting media and entertainment companies.
— Establishing and meeting both department budget and “top line” revenue goals.
— Prospecting, pitching, and closing deals personally.
— Acting as account manager to specific clients.
— Identifying, selecting and managing small LA-based sales staff.
— Distributing sales, budget and department reports to CEO and Executive Team.
— Designing programs and measurements for account growth and new business development.
— Refining and improving sales methods to achieve volume, profitability and yield goals.
— Coordinating with Finance for pricing, discounts and contract negotiations.
— Responding to competitive and market pressures with creative alternatives and solutions.
Skills and Qualifications
— Prior experience in selling digital media and advertising products, solutions, or services to the media and entertainment industry is a requirement
— An undergraduate degree or equivalent is required. An advanced degree, such as an MBA, is preferred.
— Technical proficiency in wireless, digital video/audio, search, content delivery and management, mobile marketing, and ad-serving.
— Demonstrated skills for pitching and effectively “closing” business. Strong negotiation skills for customer contract negotiations is a รข
