Crisp Wireless,
a New York City-based provider of mobile content management solutions to the media and entertainment industry, seeks to recruit a Vice President of Marketing.
Position Summary
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, Vice President of Marketing will oversee all company marketing and product management initiatives, develop and implement marketing strategy and product positioning, manage all outbound communications, and work with the sales organization to develop effective go-to-market strategies.
Responsibilities
— Work with the Executive team to develop and articulate the company’s market positioning and strategy
— Develop product requirements by soliciting information internally and externally
— Maintain responsibilities for all external communications of the company, including the Website, press releases, trade shows, printed and online marketing materials
— Manage all public relations initiatives, including direct supervision of the outside PR firm
— While responsible for managing marketing communications and product management personnel, we are looking for someone who has a hands-on approach to carrying out and implementing these functions.. Crisp is a startup that expects its management team to successfully combine doing with managing
— Develop sales materials and implement lead generation programs
— Maintain responsibility for the budget of the marketing organization
Skills and Qualifications
— Master’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Computer Science or related field
— Extensive prior experience of marketing and product management at a software company
— Deep understanding of how to create and market services for media, entertainment, and other consumer-facing companies.
— History of building an organization or a business unit
— Excellent written and verbal communication skills
— Experience of public speaking

Marketplace Credibility-The ideal candidate would be someone who is both known and respected in the media, Internet, or wireless market segments. This will be someone who has earned the respect of the industry through his or her previous track record at companies in that business.
Broad Leadership-The candidate will be someone who has proven experience in managing several working departments such as Development, Sales, and Marketing. The candidate will be equally adept in dealing with technology issues, customer needs and personnel decisions.
Strategic Thinking/Leadership – The candidate must be a visionary who can act to innovate and contribute tangibly and measurably to the growth of the business.
