The MTV Networks Kids & Family Division is looking for an experienced producer to help grow its new online community for parents.
This position requires the ability to juggle multiple day-to-day production tasks while maintaining a longer-term vision for the brand. The producer must have a strong interest in community websites and feel comfortable recommending and driving product direction throughout the development process.
Job responsibilities include:
— Observing other online communities; scouting emerging trends for product development ideas.
— Monitoring traffic reports, and working with our community manager to help maintain and grow site traffic.
— Driving new product development from brainstorming through post-launch.
— Maintain production schedule of internal and external site promotions, produce related content
— Writing and editing new site content including newsletters, invitations, articles and other components as necessary.
— Updating site content using internal content management system
— Managing and tracking internal resources and external vendors.
— Coordinating cross-team projects
— Performing hands-on day-to-day site production tasks
— Strong understanding of site architecture; Must be able to create detailed wireframes
— Executing project on strategy and within budget
Required Qualification/Skills:
— Minimum 3 years previous online producer experience as well as experience writing compelling site copy
— Passion for community and parenting sites a must
— Excellent attention to detail
— Solid understanding of the internet and related technologies
— Strong communication and organizational skills
— Ability to work with many different teams, including design, tech, project management, marketing and ad sales
Experience responding quickly to changing business priorities and delivering high-quality products under aggressive schedules
