Verizon Wireless has “bid $2.8 billion to keep its grip on four of the 20-megahertz regional F-block licenses”, namely those of the Mississippi Valley, Great Lakes, Northeast and Southeast regions. Yesterday it had bid $3.5 billion for the spectrum covering the entire continental US.
