– Yahoo: Peter Daboll, formerly the president and CEO of comScore Media Metrix, has been named Yahoo’s chief of insights and head of global market research. He will be tasked with pulling together the various internal and external data points the group analyzes, streamlining the group’s processes, and bringing them all together.
— RealNetworks: Matt Rowlen has joined the company as VP of consumer business development. It said it has promoted Tracy Daw, to VP of corporate development and associate general counsel, and Bill Way, to VP and deputy general counsel.
— LiveNation: Live event and venue management company Live Nation has named Michael Abrams to the new role of president of Live Nation Studios, overseeing the digital transforming of 120 venues and festival sites in U.S. He will also be responsible for developing additional distribution opportunities to deliver live entertainment content and programs for 3G mobile, broadband, IPTV, television, HDTV, CD and DVD formats.
