AUCTION NEWS: $4.1 Billion And Counting

Ten rounds have now passed in the US spectrum auction and — as expected — the amount bid is climbing…from $2.4 billion on friday to more than $4.1 billion today.
“Dolan Family Holdings L.L.C., backed by Charles Dolan, chairman of CableVision Systems Corp, made the highest bid yet: $537 million for the 20-megahertz F-block license covering the Northeastern United States. The entity also was the high bidder on eight other licenses, all of which covered cities in New Jersey, New York and Connecticut.”
