Jidou Limited, a Hong Kong based vending machine company that created Jidousports, a successful childrens animated TV and Mobile series is looking to bring the series to India. Speaking to AnimationXpress.com, Jidou creator Alexander Wong said that they are currently in negotiations with “TV and Mobile networks that cover the Indian Subcontinent”. Jidougames features animated characters playing sports, and targets kids in the 6-12 age group. The company has licenced Jidou for branded watches, toys, bags, mobiles, games, publications, events etc.
Wong also feels that India will be a major force in computer animation and may surpass Japan or Korea by the next decade.
