CIOL has an interview with Murugavel Janakiraman, founder and CEO of BharatMatrimony, an Indian online conglomerate (sounds strange, but they are present in almost all verticals!) which recently received $8.65 million investment from Canaan Partners and Yahoo.
He said that the investment would enhance the expansions of other businesses – offline centres, jobs, property, automobile and classifieds. They also want to go global in terms of marketing and advertising. They would establish more offices and spread network to other countries where they are not present till now – especially in UK and other South East Asian markets.
They would also be doubling their manpower from the current base of 300 employees. They would open another 300 BharatMatrimony centers in India and overseas as well.
