PodZinger, which searches podcasts, has received $5 million from its parent company BBN Technologies, after being spun off it earlier this year.
The Cambridge, MA-based company’s technology came out of software developed by BBN for intelligence analysts to identify words in phone conversations. PodZinger uses speech recognition technology to create a text index of the audio, which enables users to find content within it.
