Business Standard: Hyderabad based VAS enabler IMI Mobile has won a deal for providing Yahoo with short code based technology in two regions – West Asia and Africa, covering 16 countries. IMI will tie up with 36 operators to enable users to download mobile content from Yahoo! websites. They’ll also roll out 10 regional voice portals in India, beginning with Bengali, Tamil and Bhojpuri. IMI already has tie ups with MForma for offering licenced mobile games in India and with Yahoo India for ring tones, wallpapers, movie clips and games.
