An in-house Wireless Operations Specialist position is open at a major international mobile content aggregator in NYC.
Prior experience in the mobile industry is preferred, but not necessary. This position can be filled with the right individual who has had 1 to 2 general years of corporate business experience. We will train an individual with the right qualities.
If you have had prior mobile industry experience, we are referring to experience at a comparable mobile content company, a mobile application developer, a mobile carrier, a messaging gateway company, etc. The candidate should also have a basic understanding of recent developments in the US mobile industry, can talk the lingo re: SMS, PSMS, WAP, and has a genuine interest in the mobile space.
But again, the right individual can be trained for this role.
The candidate’s responsibilities include, but not limited to:
-In-house liaison/account manager with our messaging gateway partner
-Learn and fully understand the scope of our existing mobile products and the industry guidelines re: these products
-Convey and advocate the product definitions to our messaging gateway partner and to mobile carriers
-Provide carrier guidelines and regular updates to product managers on existing and new products and developments
-Submit all new product applications to our messaging gateway partner and own the end-to-end process of submission–approval–provisioning–certification
-Be the hub of communication with our messaging gateway partner re: technical support tickets, open carrier issues, and emergency situations
-Handle periodic audits and/or other administrative duties related to this capacity
-Mobilize company personnel to address issues that arise and anticipate potential issues -Keep in-house counsel abreast on developments – new guidelines, etc.
