Earnings: Univision’s Online Revenues Double

Univision, the Hispanic TV company in the process of being bought out by PE firms, has reported its Q2 numbers, and it had higher Q2 profits on strong revenues from ad sales and broadcasts of the World Cup. Revenues from Univision’s Internet portal nearly doubled on an annual basis to $10.4 million compared to $5.6 million in year-ago quarter, and had an operating income of $3.2 million, compared to $0.1 million in the year-ago quarter.
