Exchange4media.com: As other online travel portals like Travelguru and Cleartrip have firmed up their marketing budgets, Yatra Online too is earmarking a decent chunk of their funding to let the world know they also exist. The company will spend about Rs 15 crore (about $3.5 million) for advertising and it has appointed Tribal DDB India, the interactive arm of Mudra, as their digital agency on record. There was a multi-agency pitch for this account for which MediaTurf was also believed to have been a close contender.
Another good sign for the online media is that a good part of the ad budget will used up by Tribal DDB India.
Cleartrip.com has also earmarked a Rs 15 crore advertising budget, and it has assigned its creative duties to Beehive Communication.
