Press release: A local electronic and computer hardware company Intex Technologies has launched an “affordable” MP3 player with FM Radio and voice recorder in the Indian market. It can also be used as a pen drive. Priced at Rs 2,999 for the 512 MB model and Rs 3,800 for the 1 GB version, Intex looks set to dominate the lower end of the MP3 Player market which mostly comprises of chinese imports with innovative names like Sonny, Tony and Sansung, priced between Rs 1,800 and Rs 3,000. Intex will offer one year warranty on the product. That’s Apple iPod for the mass market.
