Mobileplay has signed a deal with Opera to have a link to Mobileplay’s site included in the Opera Mini 2.0 browser. Mobileplay offers free ad-supported content from brands such as BusinessWeek Online, Salon.com, The Sporting News.com, USA TODAY and Wired.com, as well as weather, blogs, casual games, trivia, movie times and travel information. The link is part of the Opera browser that is loaded onto the handset, so earlier users won’t see it (although they will be able to visit http://mini.mobileplay.com if they choose).
The financial details of the deal weren’t disclosed.
