MusicNet: Director, Partner Relations – East Region / NYC

We are looking for a talented individual for this position which oversees the relationships across all divisions within distribution partner organizations to facilitate thorough communication between the company and its partners to maximize the success of the relationship.
Some Key Responsibilities include:
— Serve as primary business contact for all post-sale partner issues.
— Ensure that partners are properly enabled and informed on products and/or services they have purchased from the company and other appropriate company initiatives.
— Act as the gateway for all resource and project requests by the distribution partner.
— Participate in resolution of cross-functional issues affecting partners.
— Develop ongoing customer relationships with highly influential individuals within the partner’s senior management gaining trust and respect for the company.
— Manage all performance and business reporting obligations.
— Evangelize the value of the partnership with MusicNet through regular communications and face-to-face meetings with our partners.
— Provide client intelligence, regular competitive analysis and partner product recommendations proposals to company senior management.
Skills/Requirements/Qualifications:
— College-level degree in business, marketing, computer science or related area. MBA a plus.
— Seven years experience in the digital entertainment services industry.
— Strong product management skills, including experience in creating user flow and user interface.
— At least 4 years experience in account management/partner relations, preferable in the software/technology and digital medial industries.
— Proven research and analytical skills.
— Ability to translate the company’s products and services into meaningful value as it pertains to the customer’s business metrics.
— A creative self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
— Very detail-oriented and well-organized. Creative, analytic, and focused.
— Excellent interpersonal, verbal, oral and written communication skills.
— Ability to understand and be able to prioritize between business and technical issues.
— Capable of effectively directing both technical and non-technical people without a direct authority over them.
— Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects at a time.
— Must be proficient with common business applications (i.e. Microsoft Office, CRM software and others). Strong web technical skills.
— Familiarity with: Internet, Content, Streaming Media a plus.
— Able to work and adapt to changing environment.
— Some experience in channel sales and business development a plus.
— Travel: 20% to 30%.
