– Reuters CMO: Reuters has appointed Lee Ann Daly to the new position of EVP and CMO, effective Jan. 1, 2007. Daly, who will be based in New York, will be responsible for Reuters’ brand development and marketing efforts globally. Prior to this, she was at ESPN, where she was EVP-marketing at ESPN, handling marketing duties for TV, print, radio, broadband and Internet services.
— Questex VP: Questex Media Group, the B2B media company formed last year from five former divisions of Advanstar, has named Seth Nichols to the newly created position of VP-digital media…prior to this, Nichols had been director of media enterprise services for Amazon.com.
— BT Vision Director: UK telecoms giant BT has beefed up the team overseeing its move into IPTV this autumn by appointing a media rights specialist as commercial director of BT Vision. Marc Watson joins from Reel Enterprises, the company set up by Shed Productions non-executive director David Kogan, which is dedicated to rights negotiations, channel development and sport.
— Hearst-Argyle Digital Director: Hearst-Argyle, the second-largest NBC affiliate owner and the largest ABC affiliate group in terms of audience reach, has hired CNET veteran Eric Koepele to serve as director of digital media sales. Koepele was formerly VP-ad sales at CNET.
