News International, the newspaper group owned by Murdoch in UK (under which Times, The Sun, and News Of The World fall) has appointed its first head of mobile strategy for the two tabloids it own. Andrew Bagguley will be responsible for “developing a mobile strategy to expand the audience of News Group, the tabloid newspaper arm of News International, increase the frequency of communication, and grow the group’s revenue base”.
He comes from T-Mobile where he was head of international portal management. This comes after some of the companies papers wrangled to offer football clips to mobile phones.
