Interactive Ad Agencies Make Hay While Sun Shines

It looks like interactive ad agencies are having a nice time in India’s dotcom 2.0 era. Ratish Nair, who broke away from MediaTurf and started Interactive Avenues early this year, has already won 30 clients, says a report in Exchange4media.com. That’s a collective account size of Rs 30 crore. Nair set up shop only in April. His client roster has names like Wipro, HDFC Standard Life, General Motors, ICICI Bank, Travelguru, NIIT, WorldSpace, and Toyoto.
Another agency that has been particularly active is BC Web Wise. The Mumbai-based interactive ad agency has just won a bluechip account of Hero Honda. They will redo the website of India’s largest two-wheeler maker which will reflect their marketing communications theme. BC Web Wise has clients like HLL, Ruchi Soya, Marico Industries, Madison Communications, PCS Technology, Crest Communications, Mumbai Police, and Hathway. They recently launched two viral campaigns for HLL’s Clinic and Sunsilk shampoo products.
Then there are players like MediaTurf (the oldest and the largest), Webchutney, and Quasar Media who have been in the business for a while. RK Swamy BBDO recently launched a digital media agency – Digital Direction.
It looks like interactive advertising is the business to be in now.
Editor: We are keen to know how many interactive ad agencies are there in India and who are they?
