Finally some recovery, but this might get hit again later in the year with China Mobile restrictions: Chinese portal company Sohu has reported its Q2 earnings, and its wireless division pulled in $8.994 million, up from $8.009 million in the first quarter and $6.360 million for Q2 2005. The first half of 2006 brought in $17.003 million, compared to $12.319 million for the same period in 2005. Expenses were roughly half of this. Overall the wireless part of Sohu’s business accounted for just over 26% of revenue in the second quarter. The report speaks of a “continued recovery in wireless revenues”.
