The Hindu Business Line: Stock broking and financial services retailer India Infoline Ltd plans to launch securities trading on the mobile phone platform. The company MD Nirmal Jain said that the prototype for the mobile trading was ready, and that the company was waiting for guidelines from the regulator. It looks the service will enable buying and selling of shares on mobile phone, which maybe directly linked to the Bombay Stock Exchange or National Stock Exchange.
I believe Reliance Communications also has similar plans as it’s preparing to enter retail stock broking business.
