Couple of noteworthy broadband content service launches were announced today:
— CMT Rolls Out Broadband Service Loaded: CMT, owned by Viacom, has officially rolled out Loaded, its broadband video service called Loaded…The service will feature 500 exclusive artist performances, 2,200 country music videos and 10,000 music videos from across multiple genres. In addition, recent CMT.com staple Studio 330 Sessions, a series which features raw studio performance shot in CMT’s Nashville studio, will become a centerpiece of the new platform. Officials say that 40 original shows are in production for the platform.
— Gotuit’s Broadband Video Portal Launches: This is getting a lot of media play today, though it is hard to see how it will work as a destination site…Gotuit is syndicating video from a bunch of sources, which is available across umpteen number of big media and smaller sites, and is hoping to compete against everyone in the already-crowded broadband video market (and this is not counting the video sharing-user-gen sites). On the plus side, the layout and indexing-search technology is good…and the video load time is negligible. Some more details are here.
