SkyOS releases major upgrade

I first started following SkyOS a year ago because of the promise this independently produced operating system showed, particularly in the file system indexing.  A major new upgrade has been released which looks pretty cool:

Skyos

SkyOS is a full operating system that has been written completely from scratch and is not a variant of Linux or any other OS.  SkyOS is still in beta and the OS costs $30 which gets you all versions of the beta as they unfold and the final version when it’s released.  One of the features of SkyOS that has interested me since I first heard about it is the file indexing and instant search capability incorporated directly in the OS.  If you want to see how cool this can be check out this video that shows how a newly created file is indexed and searchable the instant it is created. Pretty cool stuff.  I can just see an install in the free Virtual PC now…
