Industry Moves: DJ’ Online Ad Head Leaves; New VP & Exec Director Appointed

This is not connected to new news strategy rethinking project at Dow Jones, but forms part of the overall changes at the company, especially on the online side.
First, Randy Kilgore, the till now Senior VP of Advertising at Dow Jones Online has left the company, we found out, and DJ spokesperson said it was for personal reasons. Kilgore was at Dow Jones since 1990, in various positions.
Following this, Dow Jones has made two new appointments:
Brian Quinn is being promoted to VP, advertising sales and marketing, from VP, advertising. In his expanded role, Brian will lead the sales efforts for Dow Jones Online, a group within Dow Jones & Company that includes WSJ.com, Marketwatch.com and Barron’s Online.
Ken Detlet is being promoted to Executive Director, advertising sales for Dow Jones Online. From July 1997 to April 2005 he was the Director of advertising sales, Eastern region for The Wall Street Journal Online.
