Craig Pringle- getting more from a small screen

MVP Craig Pringle has recently started using a Motion LS800 Tablet PC with a native resolution of 800×600 and is writing a series of articles explaining how to make the best use of the reduced resolution of the LS800.  Part 1 gives detailed instructions for tweaking OS settings to make for the best user experience possible and includes a lot of screen shots that demonstrate the settings changed and the effects.  Part 2 shows how Craig uses MindManager at the reduced resolution which will greatly enhance the usage of the mapping software.  Those of you who use MM know that it shines on large screens but Craig shows us this can be overcome on smaller screens.  He shows how to tweak the MM settings to get the best user experience possible.  Part 3 demonstrates how to set up Microsoft Office 2007 apps to maximize screen real estate including Outlook and OneNote, again with great screen snaps to show the effect.  Part 4 covers the best way to configure ActiveWords with the InkPad.  Last but not least Part 5 shares a tip from Josh Einstein on moving the TEO tabs to the side to take advantage of Origami device native resolution.

These articles are a must read for all LS800 and UMPC owners.

UPDATE:  I can’t keep up with Craig.  I updated this post as Craig is now up to Part 5 of his series.  :)
