Trip Hawkins from Digital Chocolate had the 2nd day one keynote at the mobile games conference. If you’re familiar with Trip’s ideas this will be a repeat, if you’re not it’s worth having a look — Digital Chocolate has sold 10 million games and reportedly gone from 1% marketshare to 11% (although there’s no details on that, so I’m not sure which market the share is of). One of the questions put to trip:
Q–What can publishers do to promote interoperability across carriers?
A–We’re too early for that yet. Publishers need to grow their own communities and make them successful first, then worry about that later.
