Broadband In India

Express Computer has a nice round up on the broadband situation in India. It currently stays at 1.5 million and the idea is to reach at least half of the current cable penetration of 35 million households over the next few years. The good thing there is a change in situation now since consumers are demanding higher speed and higher downloads vis-a-vis five years ago. Pijush Kanti Das, President, Access Media, Sify says, “The future seems to be very attractive as broadband acceptability is consistently moving up in India. Services like gaming, e-commerce and sharing will definitely influence and dominate the market.-
