The Economic Times: Andhra Pradesh’s “AP Broadband project” will be ready by March next year. This was stated by AP Aksh Broadband promotor RVR Chowdary after a review meeting with Chief Minister Dr Y S Rajasekhar Reddy. It’s a Rs 400 crore ($90 million) project to provide connectivity to the rural areas to deliver e-governance applications at people’s doorsteps. But the project had come under scanner from regulatory authorities following the award of contract to a private company.
As of now, the connectivity has reached in seven districts of Rangareddy, Hyderabad, Nalgonda, Mahabubnagar, Krishna, Guntur and Prakasam, Chowdary said.
