Hispanic entertainment-focused social network Elhood has received its secdon round of funding. The round was led by Jose “Pepe” Barroso, the head of Pep’s Records, a joint venture with SonyBMG Spain. The site/service tries to connect individuals “sharing a passion for Hispanic content, offers a wide array of digital entertainment options, including social networking, photo and music sharing, artist showcases, blogs and interactive contests”.
The focus is site is music, in a MySpace-kind of way. The company has offices in Miami and Madrid.
