Adam Klein, EMI Music’s executive VP of strategy and business development, has left EMI. He was effectively overseeing the digital strategy at the music label.
This comes shortly after Ted Cohen, its SVP for digital development and distribution, left to start his consultancy firm. The two were known to have differences over the company’s digital strategy. According to LAT, Klein was forced out by the company’s senior management, though not sure if that was connected to Ted’s departure in any way.
This also comes at another more important juncture for EMI, where it is trading acquisition bids with rival Warner Music Group.
NYPost: Some more wider layoffs at EMI, reports NYP… some U.K. employees, particularly in marketing and in digital strategy, have been notified that they are losing their jobs, according to NYP.
