Virgin Mobile USA CEO: Still Room to Grow

An interview with Virgin Mobile USA CEO Dan Schulman, about his company’s growth, and the potential still lying uptapped. “There’s quite a bit of space in the youth market,” Schulman said. “It’s a huge market place with penetration yet to happen. An overwhelming majority of our customer additions are new to the industry.”
Virgin has grown its base to roughly 4 million users, which Schulman said gives the company a strong enough customer base to offset marketing expenses and other operational costs. The newer players, such as Amp’d Mobile or ESPN Mobile, are targeting similar demographics but offering unique services to set themselves apart.
