Israel’s leading telco Cellcom is entering user generated mobile content. It has set up a content company called Logia, which will have the responsibility of developing user generated content. It will be “a non-cellular website for content creation, editing and presentation,” says the article. The site will enable users to view content on their handset and use their handset’s built in camera to photocopy content displayed on the site. The content of the new site, Cellcom Hip, will be rated by the number of hits and responses by users. Cellcom also plans to add video and voice content, meaning production of short movie and music clips.
