Business Standard: Chennai-based Pyramid Saimira, a digital theatre chain, is moving into Bangalore too. It plans to invest Rs 40 crore ($9 million) and have some 200 screens operational by end of this year in Karnataka. Currently, it operates 150 screens, of which 120 are in Tamil Nadu and the rest in Mumbai, Delhi and other cities.- V Natarajan, chairman of the company, said the company plans to lease theatres, convert them into digital, and introduce two-way broadband connectivity via satellite. They will focus on tier II & tier III cities in Karnataka.
