ESPN Launches Samsung Ace

Samsung AceMobile ESPN has launched a new handset from Samsung, dubbed Ace. The handset has “a large QVGA display and stereo speakers…The user interface features easy-to-read icons that instantly link users to the Mobile ESPN sports application, downloads, digital camera features and messaging capabilities.” There’s also an “E” button in the center of the keypad, which launches the users’ personalized sports content, “including ESPN BottomLine scores and headlines; favorite teams and player statistics; Gamecast – a live, graphical game representation; customized Mobile ESPN video clips and game highlights; ESPN commentary and analysis; real-time scores; sports alerts and fantasy team management.”
On ESPN’s website the phone is listed at $99, a huge come down from the launch price of its first handset at $500, almost certainly because the MVNO hasn’t been doing as well as it could have (the price of the Sanyo MVP phone is now listed at $29).
