Research conducted at the Yamagata University School of Medicine in Japan has discovered that a genetic predisposition to an enzyme called monoamine oxidase A can lead to an addiction to gadgets. People with high levels of this enzyme often have a driving need to own the latest and greatest gadgets that use the latest technology. OK, acknowledging the problem is the first step to a cure. But gadgets are just so cool. Neophiliac makes me feel so… dirty.
