That was quick…France-based online video publishing and sharing service vpod.tv has received some more angel money, from serial-entrepreneur Martin Varsavsky, now the founder of much-hyped FON, a community WiFi network firm. The company just raised $5.1 million in funding, announced last month.
Besides features similar to what other video sharing sites have, Vpod includes the ability to integrate advertising in videos, a wide variety of output/device formats, and editing tools. Also, the service seems to have a more editorial focus in terms of videos on the site.
