It is no powerhouse but at $9 the Evergreen DN-2000 MP3 player is certainly a bargain. It uses SD cards for memory and runs on a single AAA battery. Let’s see, you could buy what, 20 of these for the price of an iPod?

does anyone know where i can get the Evergreen DN-2000 mp3 player?
Dream on. If you go to the alleged source site, it’s in Japan. And then the player itself isn’t even listed!!
The cheapest MP3 player I’ve ever seen was $30 from jWin.
And it looks like that’s no longer available, either, as it’s now sold bundled with a 2GB SD card…
