Verimatrix, the San Diego-based video content protection and DRM firm, has received $8 million in its second round of funding. The round was led by Crescendo Ventures and included Mission Ventures and strategic investor Siemens Venture Capital. Verimatrix develops pay TV content protection and access control systems, which includes its forensic watermarking technology, VideoMark, and is deployed in IPTV systems.
