Personal media management startup iBloks, which launched its public beta yesterday, has received $3 million in second round funding. The round was led by Howard Schultz’s (chairman of Starbucks) Seattle-based VC firm Maveron Partners. The San Francisco-based company plans to use the money to continue to further enhance the development of the iBloks application.
Earlier this year the company announced angel funding from Michael Ostin, a former Warner Music and Dreamworks executive; Freddy DeMann, founding partner in Maverick Recording Company; and Maurice Marciano, fashion designer, and founder of Guess.
The app allows music-mixing, customizing casual games, creating 3D multimedia show, etc.
